We integrate the interface, venue state, deterministic tools, models and operations. Where we adopt a component, we test it inside the service boundary and stand behind the result.
CAREERS / SIMULATINGMACHINES + SIMLABS
Build AI people walk up to.
SimulatingMachines is a small team building an AI Terminal for people who need help inside a real place. The current artifact is a working software demo; the first paid venue pilot is the next proof. These five founding role briefs show the team we intend to build around that proof.
CONCEPT VISUALIZATION · NO VENUE DEPLOYMENT SHOWNWHY THIS TEAM / WHY NOW
Small team. Whole machine.
Most AI teams own a slice. Here you can own a whole layer of an early system: the grounded assistance runtime, governed data, mobile handoff, commercial motion or walk-up experience. Today that system is a working Terminal software demo against a fictional venue. The next job is to earn a real floor through a bounded pilot, measure what happens after the answer and publish what we learn.
Cash, equity, vesting, any profit-sharing terms, location and employment route must be separated in writing before an offer. Those details are not yet published on this site.
You work with both founders directly. Decisions take a conversation, not a committee.
The current work runs in software today. The next proof is a paid Terminal pilot in one venue with an agreed baseline and measurable task completion.
OPEN ROLES / FIVE SEATS
Own a layer of the machine.
Every role is senior, hands-on and accountable for a visible part of the product. For now these are role briefs and invitations to express interest, not complete legal job postings. Before interviews advance, we will supply founder profiles, operating location, employment jurisdiction, work-authorization policy and cash, equity and any profit-sharing terms separated in writing before an offer.
Lead AI Researcher
Own two connected tracks: the applied intelligence that makes the Terminal dependable now, and the spatial research that can make venue-state learning, simulation and physical evaluation useful later.
- Evaluation and model adaptation for the current Terminal software
- Venue-state, simulation-to-reality and grounded-experience research
- Public protocols, baselines and research artifacts when evidence exists
Lead Data Engineer
Design the governed data layer that serves the venue first and, only under separate rights, produces trustworthy evaluation or training records.
- Versioned venue-state and interaction data contracts
- Customer-controlled exports, retention, lineage and audit
- Optional, rights-governed evaluation and training records
Senior Mobile App Developer, iOS and Android
Choose and build the smallest mobile surface the first Terminal pilot needs, beginning with private continuation or staff handoff rather than an entire fleet app.
- Native iOS and Android apps for venue teams
- Traceable agent-to-human handoff on mobile
- Pilot operations and future deployment-health surfaces
Sales Consultant
Open the venues: build the pipeline from first walkthrough to signed pilot, working directly with both founders.
- Evidence-led selection of the first venue wedge
- Pilot design with venue operators and their teams
- A pilot designed to earn or reject expansion
Lead UX Engineer
Design and build the walk-up Terminal experience first, then establish the interaction system future surfaces can inherit.
- The walk-up experience for Terminal first
- Motion, voice-visual interplay and accessibility on public floors
- The design system future surfaces can inherit
HOW WE HIRE / SHORT AND HONEST
Three conversations, with timing agreed up front.
A direct call
Thirty minutes with a founder about the work itself, not a script.
A working session
A real problem from the current roadmap, worked through together.
A fast answer
A clear yes or no within days, with reasons either way.
