SIMLABS / RESEARCH

Our argument, on the record.

simLabs studies how physical AI can ground language in changing venue state, evaluate the result against physical outcomes and turn authorized experience into reproducible tests for spatial models. Our first publication states the thesis and a falsifiable pilot protocol; measured results and technical artifacts must be earned next.

POSITION PAPER / 2026-08-24 / VERSION 2.5.0

AI Needs a Place to Stand

World models, AI Terminals, AI Hosts, and the physical layer for intelligence in real places.

Language models made intelligence conversational. World models are beginning to make it spatial, predictive and action-aware. Yet a model cannot help inside a venue unless it has a physical point of presence, current state, permission to act and feedback from what happened next. simulatingMachines is building that bridge: AI Terminals first, AI Hosts next, and the physical AI support infrastructure around them. The service creates immediate value by helping people navigate, find, act and reach the right person. Simulation and real-world outcomes form a learning loop; under appropriate agreements, aligned experience may become evaluation and training assets for world-model builders. This paper presents the thesis: make helpful AI present wherever people need assistance.

OPEN RESEARCH QUESTIONS

Three problems worth solving together.

VENUE STATE

How should a model represent a place that keeps changing?

Geometry, inventory, closures, provenance and interface capability change on different clocks.

SIMULATION

Which simulated failures predict physical task failure?

We want matched simulated and physical episodes, not visual similarity presented as validation.

GROUNDED EXPERIENCE

What record connects intent, state, action and outcome?

The useful unit should support evaluation without becoming a visitor profile.
